Can Technical Support review system configurations, operation manuals, IAM policies, or configuration files/parameters?

Question / Problem

Is it possible to have system configurations, operation manuals, IAM policies, and configuration files/parameters reviewed by the Technical Support desk?

Answer / Solution

While our Technical Support desk provides assistance regarding AWS technical specifications, we do not accept inquiries that fall under the scope of reviewing or consulting on system configurations, operation manuals, IAM policies, or configuration files/parameters.

  • If you find yourself in a situation where you require this type of assistance, please consult our sales representative.

  • For details on the scope of our support services, please refer to the "AWS Billing Agency Services
    Advanced Services Specifications [1]."

■ Review of System Configurations

Example Request: "I am planning to implement [XX] using AWS services. Could you check if this configuration is appropriate?"

Our Technical Support desk does not accept inquiries regarding the review or consulting of your system architecture. For requirements that can be met through multiple methods, we do not provide recommendations for or against specific approaches. While we may introduce configuration examples based on AWS Best Practices, please understand that the final decision on which architecture to adopt rests with the customer.

■ Review or Creation of Documents and Operation Manuals

Example Request 1: "I have created an operation manual for EC2 instances. Please check if there are any issues with the procedures."

Example Request 2: "Please provide an operation manual for changing RDS instance types."

Our Technical Support desk does not accept reviews of documents or operation manuals created by customers. Additionally, we do not provide custom operation manuals. (If a procedure is described in official AWS documentation, we will provide a link to the relevant page.)

If you have identified a specific issue or have a concern based on your own research or validation results, please provide a detailed description of that specific point. We ask that you submit your inquiry following the "one topic per ticket" rule.

■ Review or Creation of IAM Policies and Configuration Files/Parameters

Example Request 1: "I have created an S3 bucket policy. Please check if the settings are correct before I apply it."

Example Request 2: "Please provide an IAM policy that can be used as-is to achieve access control for [XX]."

Our Technical Support desk does not accept requests for the validation, full-scale review, or debugging of entire configuration files, parameters, or policies created by customers. We also do not create IAM policies or configuration files on your behalf.

We can, however, assist in resolving specific questions or problems arising from your own research or testing. In such cases, please submit an inquiry along with the details described in "[What Information is Helpful for Technical Inquiries? [2]]"

■ General Information

As shown in the examples above, we often receive requests to "confirm if there are any issues" regarding configurations, procedures, and settings. Please understand that it is not possible to guarantee outcomes across all potential environments or use cases; therefore, we cannot provide definitive assurances for these requests.
