Slack post-processing

Overview

Slack post-processing is a feature to send a notification message to the Slack channel after executing the job or policy evaluation.
Before using Slack post-processing, you must first integrate Cloud Automator with your Slack workspace. If your Cloud Automator organization has not yet been integrated with Slack, complete the integration setup by following the Integrate with Slack first.

Notice

  • Only public channels can be specified as a notification channel. Private channels, DMs, etc. cannot be specified.
  • If a notification to Slack cannot be sent due to a temporary communication failure or an insufficient connection with Slack, an error message will be recorded in the execution log or policy log. You can check the error message on the execution log or policy log details page.
  • If you disconnect from Slack by clicking "Disconnect" button on "Integrations" page, all of Slack post-processing will fail to send notifications. Please be careful.
  • If you connect to Slack again after disconnecting from Slack, existing Slack post-processing will continue to work.
  • If you change the Slack workspace to be connected, existing Slack post-processing will fail to execute because it tries to notify a "non-existent Slack channel". This is because if the Slack workspace is different, the internal Slack channel ID will be different even if the "Channel Name" is the same. If this happens, please edit each Slack post-processing and set "Channel Name" again.
