Integrate with Slack

By integrating Cloud Automator with Slack, you'll be able to use the "Slack post-processing" feature.

Integration Procedure

  1. Click Integrations under Organization in the side menu.

  2. Click the Connect button in Slack field.
  3. A page will appear asking you to confirm whether you want to allow Cloud Automator to access your Slack workspace. (If you're not logged in to Slack, please log in with the account for the Slack workspace you wish to integrate.)
  4. After clicking the allow button, you'll be redirected back to the Cloud Automator "Integration" page. The status will change to "Connected."

That completes the integration with Slack.

 

Disconnect Procedure

If you wish to disconnect the integration between your Cloud Automator organization and your Slack workspace, follow these steps:

  1. From the "Organization" menu, select "Integration."
  2. On the "Integration" page, click the "Disconnect" button in Slack.
  3. Click "OK" in the confirmation dialog.
  4. Once you see the message "Integration disconnected.", the disconnection from Slack is complete.

Please notes before disconnecting the integration:

  • Disconnecting the integration will prevent any in-use Slack post-processing from functioning correctly, and notifications to Slack will no longer be sent.
  • If there are Slack post-processing actions that no longer function correctly, you will see "Failed to send notification to Slack" displayed in the "Post-processing execution results" of job execution logs and configuration review policy logs.
  • If you reconnect to the same Slack workspace after disconnecting, your Slack post-processing will function correctly again.
  • If you reconnect to a different Slack workspace after disconnecting, your Slack post-processing will attempt to send notifications to channels that do not exist in the new Slack workspace, causing them to fail. In this case, you will need to reconfigure the notification channels in the settings for each Slack post-processing action.
